Our History

4th Hinckley Scout Group was originally know as 4th Hinckley Boy Scouts and opened in 1922 in the Mission room on Druid Street and later moved to the Scout hut next to St Mary’s Church which still stands today was not opened until 1925.

The Scout Group has been through many changes and survived War, great storms, and more recently a worldwide pandemic.

The Scout master and a number of assistants had to leave the Scout Group behind to fight in the second World War, whilst away a Local Guide Leader stepped in to keep the troop and Cub Pack running. Sadly not all 4th Hinckley Members returned safely and Each year the Scout Group take part in the Remembrance day Parade to remember former Scouters along with all those that lost their lives during conflicts.
